Vietnamese expatriates in Belgium warmly welcome new spring
“ Vietnam Travel “ - A gathering of overseas Vietnamese to celebrate Tet took place in Belgium on February 20, the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, attracting Vietnamese expatriates from Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, and France.
Among
participants in the event, held by the Association of Vietnamese in
Belgium and the Belgium-Vietnam Friendship Society, was Vietnamese
Ambassador to Belgium Nguyen Manh Dung.
The same day, the Nam
Giao society of the Vietnamese community in Belgium organized an art
programme to welcome the Year of the Tiger.
In the spotlight was
a 14-member troupe of singers and dancers sent by the HCMC Department
of Culture, Sports and Tourism to give free performances to the
Vietnamese community.
The festive atmosphere was enlivened by
the participation of the Truong Son dance group, comprised of young
people who are the second generation of Vietnamese expatriates in
Belgium.
In another event, Vietnamese students in Belgium raised 500 euros to help victims of agent orange/dioxin in the homeland.
Just
want to let you know that we had a marvellous trip to Vietnam ,Laos and all the
guides and sites were very well planned and organised so a big thank
you. Next trip will be Cambodia and possibly Vietnam and 6 days on a
