Craft week held to mark Hanoi’s birthday

The Hanoi Craft Week 2010 opened at a ceremony on August 4 as part of activities to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai and vice chairman of the Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen Huy Tuong attended the event.

The event, held by the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, aims to provide an opportunity for craft villages to promote their products, seek out markets and attract investment as well as supports from organisations and businesses in and outside the country.
