hallo Nhung Ms ,
just a few remarks after my great trip to your country.
as i chose my own route and my hotels any criticism (or praise...) go to my account:
- best hotel (by far) the riverside in hoi an
- worst hotel (by far) - rex in saigon (might be ok for old americans, but don't send any europeans there...)
- kenh ga - can be crossed of the list. brings nothing.
- weather ... i think around this time of year one should spend more time in the south otherwise halong bay can hardly be seen through the fog and rain (eben hue was really cold!)
- wildlife and national parks - practically non existent! you should really improve on that (hope there is still something to be saved...)
i have 2 close companies i am working with on a daily basis. end of the month i just pay the bills without any controll. with one i have been working for 18 years with the other for 27! never had a dispute.
i am not sure if you see what i mean, but after thinking about it for a long time i decided to write it........
your great country with these great people is going through a touristic boom / explosion at the moment. this could easily last for around 15 years.
after travelling the world for 35 years i have learnt that such an approach to business (mainly with tourists) ALWAYS backfires! it would be terrible if in 20 years' time all the young people who are studying tourism now are going to be out of a job.
again , i am not sure if you see what i mean, but i just had to let it out.
anyway, i would like to thank you once again for all your efforts and the precision of planning my trip to your country!! a trip i thoroughly enjoyed (after temp. got warmer....) and i am sure i will be back (after seeing laos & myanmar...).
i have posted today an envelope with photos to my great guide (and friend) mr. ha, who did everything possible to make my trip around hanoi as pleasant as possible. would be nice if you could let me know when it arrives.
take care , com on and maybe i say xin chau again one day :-)
